           MY PERSONAL_{thoughts on it were that it WAS through intercourse that Ryuko and Satsuki were created, though I doubt that there was real passion in the act. I personally write Ragyo as having a sexual preference for women, though I do place her on the ‘ pansexual ‘ scale in terms of where her sexual orientation lies. ( though she’s clearly aromantic; i don’t see her as being capable of caring for another human being outside of what they can provide for her. )} 

               _{I think she enjoyed the flattery of a man but she wouldn’t have slept with Isshin unless it were for procreation purposes, hence why there aren’t any children after Ryuko and Satsuki. Ragyo might have foregone or given up those experimentats, and it’s likely that Isshin would no longer submit to the bedroom in order for her to have more children. I DON’T see it as being the same case as with Nui, or anything like that.}

                _{AGAIN! This is unfortunately all speculation, but that’s my interpretation of it, mostly through the flashbacks.}

                         _{LET’S TALK ABOUT RAGYO & SOICHIRO KIRYUIN.} 

         I THINK, _{in a sense, that Ragyo may have enjoyed the DOMINANCE of SOICHIRO at the beginning of their marriage. SOICHIRO KIRYUIN would have had to have been a weak-willed man at the beginning – as willing as he was to be a participant in the EXPERIMENTATION ( and supposed death of his second daughter ) of his children in regards to RAGYO’S desire to augment those ‘ of her genes ‘ with LIFE FIBERS. Ragyo assuredly HAD to have been the dominant partner in the relationship, enjoying the FLATTERY of a weak man, enjoying the SUBJUGATION of another human being under her intimate thumb. RAGYO KIRYUIN would have found little sexual pleasure from it, BESIDES the fact that she had Soichiro tied so gracefully to her aspirations and desires, given her sexual preference for women.}

          THIS _{of course changes once Soichiro turns against her and passes. In regards to his death, RAGYO WOULD HAVE FELT NO SYMPATHY – believing him to be an easily replaceable human being. ( Though she abandons her research in augmenting children with Life Fibers – presumably because she does not see it being able to be done. Satsuki does not mention any other children besides the dead sister; but Satsuki’s knowledge of Ragyo’s reprehensible activities in regards to Life Fibers research may be limited only to Soichiro’s knowledge. Are there other children? And did they go the way of her second daughter?  ) It is possible that RAGYO may have turned her desire and need to control someone else in a familial setting to SATSUKI, but given certain events of the series, this seems to extend to anyone attached to her and her family name. She is a woman desiring POWER and CONTROL, and gets off on having both, especially exhibiting such behavior towards those who have NEITHER.} 

           ALL IN ALL, _{this is a woman who appreciated only the FLATTERY of Soichiro Kiryuin’s attentions, but found the man himself to be weak, short-sighted and BENEATH HER.}
